.......and it certainly can be a daunting, and very important decision to make!

Apart from checking credentials for yourself, it's a good idea to have a chat with any potential instructor to find out more about what they offer and whether you'll get on.

Remember when you were at school?  Your best grades were probably achieved with your favourite teachers.

What about your work achievements? Your productivity is probably better when you feel valued and respected, and when you enjoy being there and doing what you are doing.

The opposite in both cases might also be true!

So good advice would be to find a driving instructor you can communicate with, and will get on with, who will help you become a safe and confident Licence-holder, and who will appreciate that everyone is as individual as you are - go with your gut feeling.

Connecting with an instructor and enjoying your lessons are probably more important than price, and the cost of achieving whatever it is you want to in your driving, will almost certainly work out cheaper in the long run.
